Review: Pirates of the Caribbean 3
Wow that blows. I was disappointed in the second film too but I laughed more there than here. The plot in “Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End” gets even more convoluted and ridiculous to the point you aren’t sure you’re following it correctly but at this point you don’t care either. You’re just waiting for a whimsical quip from Johnny Depp (Captain Jack Sparrow), who actually tries my patience here for once, or the next big fight scene, which they waste at the end by dragging it out for what seemed an eternity. And when the movie finally ends, it’s not really a happy ending to this trilogy. It leaves you rather blah. Do yourself a favor and buy the first Pirates on DVD and watch it. And stop there. Do not buy number two and do not go see number three now in theaters. You’ll be happier that way. I know I would have.
