Mom’s Holiday Letter
Every year I enjoy getting my mother’s christmas card because it has her “year in review” letter inside. Not because it has anything new that I haven’t already heard about but because I like to see how big a paragraph I get. See I never feel like I have much going on and my mom’s letter justifies that for me. One year I got one sentence. One. I think that’s what started my fascination. This year I got probably the biggest paragraph yet with the birth of my second child - could have been longer though as there was no mention of my promotion at work a couple months ago - keeping it smaller than both my brothers tidbits. To be fair, Jay - my older brother - didn’t even get a mention in his papragraph, it was all about the kids: Olivia, Cobi and Julia and a short snippet that his wife Kelly was doing fine too. However Brian, my younger brother, got the most written which is amusing because he’s single and unemployed. He’s a writer in Hollywood. It’s fun for me and I do hope all my mom’s friends and family enjoy getting it each year too. Love you Mom!
