Potty Training

Jessica and I really buckled down this last week on getting Erin potty-trained. We had introduced her to the concept a couple months back with a little plastic training toilet but she didn’t “get” it. It was just fun to sit on once or twice for a couple days. This time around we went with an Elmo child seat for the real toilet, an Elmo stepstool to help her get up, an “It’s Potty Time” book we read, and a success chart Erin and Jess made during craft time. And she has taken to it like a champ. She gets a star for her chart every time she goes and even earned two stars in one sitting Thursday for the first time (first time pooping!). She’s begun to tell us when she needs to go instead of being asked frequently. And all of this in one week. She’s just been awesome. And I’m just weird about the stuff I’ll share with you all.
