Changes, Changes, Changes
3 more days til baby arrives. Been doing a lot of work around the house getting things ready. Shifted rooms around now that Janette and Jordan have moved out. The guest room moved to Jordan’s room, Janette’s room is still transforming into an office (internet guy is coming today to get that room hooked up), and the baby takes over the former guest room. That was a big change for Erin as we took away her crib and changing table for the new baby. But she got a “big girl bed”, new dresser with mirror and a toy chest out of the brgain. It’s cute - we’ll sit and read a book before bedtime on her toychest, then she slides down and has to use a stool to climb up into her new bed. She loves it and her “Dora the Explorer” sheets.
One disadvantage has been she can now get in and out of bed anytime she wants. She sleeps through the night without a problem (no midnight visits) but it has made putting her to bed an adventure a couple times. Last night I found her crouching in the hallway between her room and the kitchen. I couldn’t help but laugh out loud which got her laughing too. She was like “I’m sneaky”. Yes she is. And adorable.
